What is MSYP?
The Mostar Summer Youth Program (MSYP) is a one-of-a-kind, free, English language education program that has run every summer since 2014. The MSYP curriculum aims to leave participants more confident in each of the following areas: speaking English, critical thinking, creative thinking, leadership, teamwork, multicultural understanding, engagement in your community.
Who can participate in MSYP?
MSYP is free and open to young people aged 14-19 from Mostar and the surrounding area. Whilst many staff members are fluent in both BCS and English, the program is taught in English, taking a language ‘immersion’ approach in order to help participants gain confidence in their use of English language. For this reason, participants must have a good working knowledge of English.

Taught courses this year will include the following subject areas:
- Human Rights
- Political and Social Sciences
- Philosophy and Literature
- Film and Cultural Studies
Extra-curricular activities
MSYP includes a diverse extra-curricular program designed with participant interests and learning needs in mind, which always includes a number of stimulating talks, workshops and other engaging activities led by organizations and professionals from a range of backgrounds. MSYP also includes a range of trips and social events.
